1st March 2021 - The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) Committees for Risk Assessment (RAC) and Socio-economic Analysis (SEAC) published today their compiled final opinion on an Annex XV dossier proposing restrictions on intentionally-added microplastics. It is an important step in the restriction process, whose outcome will have a significant impact on multiple industry sectors in Europe, and the cosmetics and personal care sector in particular.

14th October 2020 – The European Commission published today its Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability (CSS) and the accompanying Staff Working Documents.
Cosmetics Europe shares the European Commission’s Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability overarching goal for robust chemicals policy framework that protects consumers and environment; safety is our number one concern. At the same time however, we highlight the need to ensure industry’s competitiveness and innovation capacity to deliver to the needs and expectations of consumers.
