Today and tomorrow, Cosmetics Europe, the trade association representing the cosmetics and personal care industry, is hosting the latest edition of its Annual Conference, welcoming over 400 participants in Brussels. Industry experts, policymakers, companies, and other stakeholders from Europe and around the globe are gathering to discuss general, technical, and regulatory developments in the cosmetics industry.
“Europe’s cosmetics and personal care industry is global in its outlook, export orientated, a provider of high-quality employment, dynamic and innovative. With market value of €104 billion in 2024 and nearly €30 billion worth of cosmetics exported outside of Europe, it is the kind of industry key to the competitiveness and the future prosperity of Europe. However, it is a sector vulnerable to instability and uncertainty of the kind we see emerging internationally, as well as to continuing regulatory challenges at home in the EU. We chose the theme ‘Staying Ahead’ for this year’s conference to highlight that we need approaches to regulation that support safety and sustainability of course, but also competitiveness” said John Chave, Director General of Cosmetics Europe.
During CEAC 2025, attendees will have a chance to attend a mix of plenary and parallel breakout sessions focusing on a wide range of topics from competitiveness and innovation, Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive to strengthening the single market integrity through regulation and enforcement and more much. The full programme of the conference can be found here.
